I am a student of batch 2008. well as usual i dint get my farewell as well but may i know whether our batch would be getting convocation or not.

attending convocation tommorow

Its good to hear, that its convocation time, but have some opinions for my alma mater.
Why is it that we are always lagging behind the schedule, and the reason for this delayed convocation ? Is it that the its a formality or the management is now open to convocation because they are in mood of doing so.
The enthusiasm that was there for convocation had been put on hold for 3 years, and that enthusiasm is almost missing now.

Is it a cost cutting phenomenon that we are having convocation for 3 batches together, or we are trying to do something for the first time in India…??

I am surprised that the students, who were there for four years would be even charged for the robes….We dont have any problem in spending that amount, but still some dignity should be maintained.

Some of us have even attended our convocation for Master’s Degree, and for almost all of us it would be a matter of get together rather than formally completing our degree.

I dont expect much from the management of my dear college, but what i expect is a mere thought and think it from a perspective of students who really wanted this day to happen in a way..it is supposed to be.
