Dear  Student,

You will be glad to learn that the Institute shall be holding its
2nd convocation on 15th March, 2008 for the students who have completed their B.Tech./MBA /MCA courses in the years 2005, 2006 and 2007. You are cordially invited to attend this august function. The programme shall be as follows:-

Date : 14th March, 2008
Compulsory Reporting for registration - 10. 00 a.m. to 4.00  p.m.
(Rs. 200/- as degree fee will be collected in addition to a nominal amount for robes)

Venue       -  Conference Hall, Block– A, RKGIT, Ghaziabad   
Date : 15th March, 2008  
Assembly in ‘D’ block (Academic block)     -  8.30 a.m.
Distribution of Robes  in D- block        -  8.45 a.m.
To be sitted  in Pandal    -   10.30 a.m. sharp
Convocation Starts          -   11.00 a.m. sharp.

Convocation Venue - Pandal, Opp. to D- Block (Academic block) RKGIT, Ghaziabad

Lunch                               -    1.30 p.m.

Degree recipients are required to confirm their arrival so that necessary arrangement for their stay be made in the Institute Hostels.

    make it a one day function.taking leaves for two days is not actually feasible,as holi is in the same month

    Dear Sir,
    To introduce myself, I am Sachin Rastogi, passout of 2005 Batch.

    Its good to hear, that its convocation time, but have some opinions for my alma mater.
    Why is it that we are always lagging behind the schedule, and the reason for this delayed convocation ? Is it that the its a formality or the management is now open to convocation because they are in mood of doing so.
    The enthusiasm that was there for convocation had been put on hold for 3 years, and that enthusiasm is almost missing now.

    Is it a cost cutting phenomenon that we are having convocation for 3 batches together, or we are trying to do something for the first time in India…??

    I am surprised that the students, who were there for four years would be even charged for the robes….We dont have any problem in spending that amount, but still some dignity should be maintained.

    Some of us have even attended our convocation for Master’s Degree, and for almost all of us it would be a matter of get together rather than formally completing our degree.

    I dont expect much from the management of my dear college, but what i expect is a mere thought and think it from a perspective of students who really wanted this day to happen in a way..it is supposed to be.
